Infrared Thermography
Overheating is generally an early symptom of equipment failure. Early detection of overheating can prevent more serious damage such as: sudden power outages, cessation of machine/production facilities operation, or the emergence of a fire hazard at undetected overheating points.
The causes of overheating that are often found in Electrical & Mechanical equipment are loose or dirty cable/busbar/electrical components connections, overloading capacity, unbalanced loading between R, S, T phases, the occurrence of electromagnetic induction, etc.
Infrared thermography inspection is carried out while the machine/equipment is operating, so as not to interfere with the smooth production/operation of the company. The frequency of inspection is every 6 months for installations whose operating load changes quite drastically, or at least once a year for installations whose operating load is relatively stable.
